The Canadian Centre for Food Integrity (CCFI) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating relationships with various stakeholders, implementing member retention strategies, conducting fundraising activities, organizing webinars, and ensuring effective communication both internally and externally. This is a remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere in Canada.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder Relations: Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including CCFI members, industry leaders, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other relevant parties. Assist in promoting a positive and constructive dialogue on food integrity.

Member Retention Strategy: Support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance member retention. Collaborate with existing members to understand their needs and contribute to their continued engagement with CCFI. Execute the membership strategy.

Fundraising: Assist in fundraising efforts to support CCFI’s initiatives. Contribute to identifying potential funding opportunities, building relationships with donors and sponsors, and creating compelling proposals to secure financial support. Stay connected with existing members to explore additional fundraising opportunities.

Webinar Management: Organize and host webinars to disseminate knowledge and promote discussions on topics related to public trust. Collaborate with internal and external experts to develop engaging webinar content, manage technical aspects, and ensure a seamless experience for participants.

Communication: Working closely with the Communications Manager, coordinate and assist in the development and execution of effective communication strategies to promote CCFI’s mission and initiatives. Collaborate in creating engaging content for various channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases. Ensure consistent messaging and brand representation.

Business Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the agrifood sector and related assets. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging issues to contribute to CCFI’s activities and maintain credibility with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, public relations, business, agriculture)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an engagement and communications environment
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) is required
  • Strong communications skills and ability to execute strategies in a clear, digestible manner using a wide range of formats
  • Experience managing, writing, and editing content for various communications and digital platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and networks
  • Fundraising abilities, including proposal development and donor/sponsor relationship building
  • Proficiency in running webinars and managing associated technical requirements
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their usage in communication strategies
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within established timelines in a team environment.
  • Experience in graphic design and web design an asset
  • Knowledge of the agrifood sector an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $65,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
