Consumers are more interested in how their food is grown, processed and brought to market than ever before.

The Canadian Centre for Food Integrity helps our food system ensure it is doing the right things to build trust by providing research, resources, training and dialogue.

Programs

Today’s food system is complex and consumers have lots of questions. They deserve balanced information – where food comes from, who’s producing it and how.

We work to build consumer trust by offering the food system innovative education and programs, strategic planning and opportunities for collaboration that are based on our peer-reviewed and published consumer trust model and our annual consumer trust research.

In the end, it’s about building trust and empowering consumers with the information they need to make informed choices that are right for them and their families.

Research

To build trust with the public when it comes to food, it’s important to know what they’re thinking and how those opinions drive decisions on key issues. That’s why we survey consumers each year – and conduct other research, too. Tracking attitudes, researching relevant issues and understanding trust inspires us to continually innovate new approaches as we help those in agriculture and food engage with consumers in meaningful ways.
