Canada's Agriculture Day

On February 9, 2027, we’re celebrating Canada’s Agriculture Day, a national day that recognizes the people, businesses, and organizations that contribute to Canada’s agriculture and food system.

Canada’s agriculture and food system plays an important role in our country’s prosperity, health, and well-being. Canada’s Ag Day is an opportunity to recognize the dedication, innovation, and resilience of the people who help grow, raise, process, distribute, and provide the foods we enjoy every day.

Join the celebration by sharing stories, taking part in conversations, or simply showing your appreciation for the people and organizations behind Canada’s agriculture and food system.

Use #CdnAgDay on social media to connect with others across the country and help shine a light on the people, work, and connections that make our food system possible.

How You Can Get Involved

Looking for ways to join the conversation? Here are a few ideas to share your love for Canadian food and the incredible people who make it possible:

  • Post a photo of your favorite Canadian-grown meal.
  • Share a story about a farmer, producer, or agriculture hero who inspires you.
  • Highlight the role agriculture plays in your community – from local farms to the food on your plate.
  • Say “thank you” to the hardworking individuals who work tirelessly to bring food to our tables.

No matter how you choose to participate, don’t forget to tag #CdnAgDay and help spread the word! Let’s celebrate the people, passion, and pride behind Canadian agriculture together.
